My first concert ever. Barton Coliseum, Little Rock, Arkansas, 1974. My senior year at Jacksonville High School. I went with my best friend, Gaylen Burnside. We loved it so much, we drove up to Fayetteville, AR, the next night for their show there! Badass Southern boys who could rock! Lynyrd Skynyrd.🇺🇸🔥

@BuzzPatterson My wife took me to see Lynyrd Skynyrd in Reno. It was an outdoor concert at what is now the MGM Grand. I forget what the place was called back then. Bally's or something like that. It was a lot of fun.

@BuzzPatterson Saw them 5 times. Twice in England. Once at the Rainbow Theater in London and Once at the Knebworth concert in 1976. 3 times in the states. All this before the plane crash. Such a sad day!!

@BuzzPatterson They were the epitome of rock n roll in our era. I’m from just north of Little Rock myself and they toured here often, even before they became super famous. This state LOVES Lynyrd Skynyrd and always will.

@BuzzPatterson I didn't know it was Ed King on lead guitar on Sweet Home Alabama. Ed also played bass until he left the band.

@BuzzPatterson I'm a '76 baby so I never saw them, but they're one of my favs. I used to put on my Skynyrd LPs and dance around the house with my son when he was a baby. When he got married, Tuesday's Gone was the song he chose for our dance. 🥹 I also had a cat named Lynrd. 😸

@BuzzPatterson A couple of friends and I were on our way to Nacogdoches, TX to be in line for ticket sales when we heard on the radio that their plane had gone down. Sad. I never got to see them live.

@BuzzPatterson Saw them in Memphis at the Liberty Bowl, same tour. Awesome show. I thought Ed King was a rough tough biker. 😅. Eric Clapton headlined. I love Eric but Skynyrd blew him off the stage at that show. They were doing it to everyone.

@BuzzPatterson I think they died coming back to Arkansas. I remember people held onto the tickets. My first show was also in Arkansas, Blue Oyster Cult opening for Rush 2112. 1977? Pine Bluff.
