@TheProjectUnity @BlueFairyJeny The nubs seem pretty simple to explain. They are either a contact point to help move the stone and/or a point of contact for some sort of structure made of wood to connect to the wall.

There are nubs on the bedrock, literal bedrock, and nubs in completely counter-intuitive positions for moving the stones.
Total mystery, no good explanation as of yet.

@TheProjectUnity @Lazl0Holyfield @BlueFairyJeny They could be reference points when removing and smoothing the surface of a stone, stones. It would let you know how much material to remove, especially across multiple stone faces.
