If you want earnest, you accept life altering responsibilities when you do almost anything. Driving a car opens you up to the possibility of serious jailtime for simple mistakes. I don't fear driving because I'm confident in my skills and don't put myself in stupid situations. That analogy can be applied to many things in life... including marriage. Your crippling insecurity about your ability to not get raped by marriage is probably accurate. Just don't assume we all have the same skill issue.
