The process of updating the phone number in the app is completely secure and takes place in two steps: 01. OTP on the old registered mobile number: The user must enter the OTP sent to their old number. 02. Face verification: Face verification must also be done to confirm the identity. Only when both steps are successfully completed can the user update the new phone number in the app. If the user does not have access to the old mobile number, they are not allowed to update the number through the app. In this situation, the user must visit the nearest Aadhaar center to update the phone number. This method ensures that only the genuine user can make changes to his/her respective UID
