Before Saturday, Trump had never attended a White House Correspondents’ Dinner as president. Marco Rubio had only attended one, way back in 2011. Many Trump cabinet members had never been to one. But they just so happened to pack into that dinner on Saturday night, just in time.

I am at a loss to understand why the government has done nothing to reform @ofcom which is not fit for purpose and has allowed Farage UK to have its own TV news channel; nothing to push back on the relentless bias and untruthfulness of most of our press; and nothing to respond to the capture of the BBC political coverage by the Gibb brigade.

A reminder,
Wages for MPs were only introduced 100 years ago so the working class could afford to represent themselves, rather than being represented by middle-class liberals.
