🇰🇿🇺🇦 Kazakhstan's oil route is again under attack
🔥 Ukrainian drones have again struck Novorossiysk, a key oil hub on the Black Sea, through which the main flow of Kazakh oil passes. We are talking about the terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, which ensures the export of raw materials from Tengiz, Kashagan, and Karachaganak. It is through this route that Kazakhstan earns a significant part of its foreign exchange earnings.
📰 According to Western media reports, the attack affected civilians, including children, and drone debris hit residential buildings. The Russian side does not specify whether the port infrastructure itself was affected, but practice shows that in such cases, terminals stop working even without a direct hit.
🇰🇿 Formally, Kazakh authorities state that exports are proceeding according to schedule and there are no disruptions. But the situation itself suggests otherwise. Any attack in this area automatically jeopardizes the stability of supplies and Kazakhstan's revenues. And this is not the first time. At the end of 2025, attacks on the same facility prompted an official protest from the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
🔴Given that more than 80💯 of all the country's exported oil passes through the CPC, such attacks can hardly be called random. They hit not only Russian infrastructure, but also Kazakhstan's economic interests, and quite deliberately. In Kyiv, they understand this, but continue to act in the logic of military pressure without regard to the consequences for neighboring states.
