I’m not a Protestant and have zero issues calling them out but I’ve seen several Catholic posts like this that have me scratching me head. There are over 2x as many Catholics than Protestants.
Ojike Uzoma@Xtopher_Uzo

Protestantism is looking like the wide gate. 40k denominations preaching all sort of ungodly gospels. - LGTV marriage 😬 - Abortion - IVF - Capital Punishment - Divorce and remarriage - Human cloning. "Narrow is the way" is definitely not talking about Protestantism.

@GuyInco15542744 Crazy that so many want to condemn their fellow followers of Christ/God to thermal torture for not being 100% right (according to them) on all of the everything. I mean, who is personally right on all of the anything? By that standard we all are barbeque!

@hankrsmith Guess she never met any of my students, their parents or my college classmates from Kenya or my professors from Algeria or Nigeria. Never heard of Mozambique, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Cote de Ivoire, Egypt? Way to reduce a whole continent of people to their lowest common denominator.

@Inertium What God has brought together let no man drive assunder. Marriage is of God. Family is of God. Nowhere did He say those bonds are dissolved in the eternities. Such an idea comes from another source, be it men or worse. Marriage is meant to be eternal, by Him who is eternal.

@MattDarJeito Wow, here I was thinking your writing had gotten amazing, only to scroll down enough to realize this was a quote and whose. Then again, the best talks I have given, and the most praised, were 80% or more prophets, apostles, and scriptures, so you are clearly on the right track!

We love those of other churches. We work with them in good causes. We respect them. But we must never forget our roots. Those roots lie deep in the soil of the opening of this, the final dispensation, the dispensation of the fulness of times. What an inspiration it has been to look into the faces of men and women across the world who carry in their hearts a solemn conviction of the truth of this foundation. When it comes to divine authority, this is the sum and substance of the whole matter. God be thanked for His marvelous bestowal of testimony, authority, and doctrine associated with this, the restored Church of Jesus Christ. This must be our great and singular message to the world. We do not offer it with boasting. We testify in humility but with gravity and absolute sincerity. We invite all, the whole earth, to listen to this account and take measure of its truth. God bless us as those who believe in His divine manifestations and help us to extend knowledge of these great and marvelous occurrences to all who will listen. To these we say in a spirit of love, bring with you all that you have of good and truth which you have received from whatever source, and come and let us see if we may add to it. This invitation I extend to men and women everywhere with my solemn testimony that this work is true, for I know the truth of it by the power of the Holy Ghost. churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-…

The Bible teaches that we can verify if something is true by the fruits. When I live the teachings of the gospel that I learned while attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I feel joy and happiness. I invite you to read The Book of Mormon, listen to the Holy Ghost, pray with real intent, and ask if it is true.

I think @andrewklavan is technically correct but he misapplies true principles fairly often. I think his description of his wife's reaction to the BOM musical is probably more correct than his. I also think members of the church overstate how we never say and do similar items. I know I have personally said unkind things about other Christians. I have been and still am a Daily Wire supporter, and I thought people were mad at @cabot_phillips unfairly. That said, @RealMattFradd is really annoying me for way he goes about it. As @andrewklavan suggests it is not because I am insecure in faith, hate the daily wire or am antisemitic. His description of why many are unhappy is probably true but most of his answer isn't to people that care. I think @RealMattFradd calling us atheist was outright dishonest and makes his other attacks annoy me even more. It creates a bigger rift between me and an organization I want to succeed and decreases my likelihood to support it. The good news is, at least I will soon start using better body wash and shampoo! If I weren't a lifetime member, I probably would switch back to listening to @BenShapiroShow, @MattWalshShow and @michaeljknowles show for free and not support the Daily Wire by subscription. This isn't the only thing the Daily Wire does that annoys me, but it is a big enough deal to me that it has created a wedge I don't think has to be there that taints the entire organization some for me.

Andrew Klavan @andrewklavan today on the Matt Fradd Mormon controversy (shortened): "I love Matt Fradd. He's not like these hateful people just slinging mud in the name of God. But I have to say I don't agree that he should be doing this. Mormons aren't blowing people up, leave them alone. When you take away something that you disagree with in somebody else's faith, you might think you're doing something good, but you might actually be taking the step away from them that's going to lead them to something closer to the truth."

@Piecemaker2121 While I have fundamental theological disagreements with Catholics, I expect to see some of them in heaven. I’m sure they would say the same of me. However, neither of us would say that about Mormons.

I don't get it. Wouldn't Protestants, Catholics, et al. WANT members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as allies fighting on their side against the great evils of our day? Aren't there more pressing issues in the world that we could fight together despite our slight differences in Christian theology? This is literally how we see you from other faiths. Why go to such great lengths to exclude, vilify, tear down, and misrepresent our beliefs? Can you not afford us even an inkling of grace? Would it hurt to give us the benefit of the doubt even if only sometimes? Is believing that The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are separate beings really that big of an issue to where we are now worthy of attack? The reason Latter-day Saints still try to associate ourselves with you in an interfaith context is BECAUSE we want to fight those evils with you. We share so many of the same values and want many of the same things. It's just silly.

@BenBird53920553 @dodgerjazzcougs Considering his lack of sexual relations with any of his additional wives, or anyone else outside Emma, I am not sure how you are getting to that claim.

@dodgerjazzcougs lol. Joseph Smith's polygamy matters to a lot of people. It says a lot about his character. He was an unapologetic adulterer, in my opinion.

I served a Mormon mission from 2002 - 2004. None of us missionaries knew that Joseph Smith practiced polygamy. I was never taught that as a Mormon kid. I don't think I found out until I was in my mid-twenties, and I didn't find out about it at church. I found out about it online.

“Why haven’t you ever heard of this?” Maybe cause you never looked at what is literally right on our website. Hahaha (Seriously this is taught in all Church history classes)

The church is made up of all sorts of people from all walks of life. Even among those members in the US, not all are conservative, whether you mean politically or otherwise. A fair enough observation. The hate we have been facing of late has more to do with willful false statements to try to turn people against us.

I ask the people in charge at The Daily Wire why they want to exclude certain groups of conservatives from their movement and get four days of idiotic LDS-hate tweets in my notifications. I’m not sure I could have less patience for this anymore.

Please pray for me. The weight of responsibility is extremely high right now. Work is insane and getting worse. My country govt responsibilities are increasing. My calling and another large regional church assignment is heavy. I can’t sleep at night since I cannot shut my mind off.

When it comes to deepening our conversion to Jesus Christ, we can always go deeper. We shouldn’t compare the depth of our conversion to reaching the bottom of the swimming pool. Our potential to deepen our conversion to Jesus Christ is greater than the vastness of the ocean or the expanse of outer space. When we “launch out into the deep” (Luke 5:4), we will be amazed at the extent of our Savior’s love for us.

It's wild that Matt Fradd was in the room for Jacob Hansen's Boom of Mormon debate and still says "there is zero archeological evidence for the Book of Mormon" in this article. FYI @RealMattFradd: "Evidence I don't accept" ≠ "No evidence"
