I’m indebted to so many correspondents for telling me that no growth between July and September was due to Labour talking down the economy. Clearly nothing whatsoever to do with the Tories screwing up the economy.

Margaret Thatcher is by far the worst PM we ever had. She is the reason the water is filled with sewage and the Water Companies have £72bn debt. She is the reason Energy prices are among the worst in the world, trains are the slowest and most expensive Privatisation has to die

The first Labour Budget in 15 years will be about fixing the foundations to deliver change. It will focus on economic stability, investment and reform. And it will honour our manifesto pledge on National Insurance, Income Tax & VAT.

@KEdge23 You can. Norman Lamont hiked the tax take by over £35bn in 1993. In 1994 we had 3.6% economic growth. Don't be misled by someone who spends most of his time in a villa in the south of France.
