The Eat Well Team are hugely grateful to the 30 or so representatives from all across our food system who joined us last week for our second Nourishing Guernsey workshop; from education to retail, growing to hospitality, government and third sector. #foodmapping #eatwell

Together we reviewed the first draft of the system map which shows the factors that influence what we eat and how they are connected. We also started to consider how the system could change to make it easier to access nutritious food.

We are delighted to see that as from today, November 1st 2024 it is illegal to smoke in a private vehicle where children or young people under the age of 18 are present. guernseypress.com/news/2024/11/0…

The 2022 Young People's Survey showed that 6% of children in yr 6 and 9% of children in yrs 8 and 10 had travelled in cars with people smoking. The ban on smoking in vehicles carrying children is very good news for child health. guernseypress.com/news/2024/11/0…

Our takeaway from the Games so far is the upward trend of women and girls feeling inspired and empowered to be active in anyway they choose.
