Debt-to-GDP down from 62.5% to 45%. That’s serious fiscal consolidation. The foundation is being fixed, not just patched. #AbanPapaAba

W BoG!!🇬🇭🇬🇭 inflation down, stronger cedi, high reserves, low lending rates. A bag of rice costs far less today than it would have if inflation stayed high. BoG absorbed the cost to tame inflation. This is the receipt for the stability we’re all enjoying now. #AbanPapaAba

Bank of Ghana's GH¢15.6bn operating loss in 2025 is due to efforts to drive disinflation, stabilize the cedi, and restore economic confidence. #PrimeRakon

“Grateful for the decisive leadership of Governor @DrJPAsiama and the Bank of Ghana team. Their strategic measures, though resulting in short-term operating losses, have successfully stabilized the economy, tamed inflation, and restored confidence for a strong foundation required for sustainable growth. #AbanpapaAba

The cedi gaining +41% and becoming one of the strongest emerging market currencies doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a sign of restored confidence in Ghana’s economic management. #AbanPapaAba

Gold reserves up to 111 tonnes from almost nothing just a few years ago. That’s strategic thinking — building real backing for the cedi. #AbanPapaAba

Governor @DrJPAsiama and his team at the BoG incurred losses to stabilise the then ailing economy the NPP bequeathed to us. Don’t fall for any propaganda, the losses under this administration isn’t the same as their GHC 60 billion losses😂🫵🏽…#AbanPapaAba

Cedi appreciation reduces the cedi value of foreign assets (appears as a loss). But the real benefits are clear •Reduced prices •Lower public debt •Huge savings on debt servicing This is a paper loss but a real economic gain #AbanPapaAba

Our new Ambassadors’ Chat Series allows us to honour the patriotism and sacrifices of our distinguished senior diplomats. This initiative gives us a rare opportunity to learn and be inspired so we can serve Ghana better. I offer high commendations to our first special guest — the legendary 102-year-old Ambassador Richard Maximillian Akwei, the only surviving of the 10 pioneers who established Ghana’s Foreign Service in 1956. Congratulations to the Foreign Service Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the remarkable effort. We shall not disappoint the great men and women who laid the foundation for Ghana’s globally acclaimed foreign service. I wish all the working people of Ghana, both retired and active a happy May Day. For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏🏾

President John Dramani Mahama has indicated that Minister for Finance will shortly present a new economic policy to Cabinet and Parliament, signalling a shift in the country’s development strategy. Speaking at the 2026 May Day Celebration, he explained that the policy is designed to prioritise the annual investment of 1% of GDP into selected high-growth sectors of the economy, with a strong emphasis on job creation. #MahamaThePresident #ResettingGhanaTour

Those who can tweet long form: Inflation from 23.8% → 3.2%. That’s not luck — that’s policy discipline. Stabilizing an economy after a crisis takes tough decisions, and the results are showing. #AbanPapaAba
