WWE producer TJ Wilson thinks that wrestling fewer matches could hurt the development of upcoming WWE Superstars because they would not get enough in-ring experience. Wilson pointed out that LA Knight wrestled the most matches in WWE last year but the number of matches he wrestled was just 64. Back in the day, the top wrestlers of WWE would wrestle around 100-120 matches in 1 year. Wilson also highlighted that if the number 1 Guy is wrestling 64, it means the others could be wrestling around 15-30 matches as well, which means in 3 years’ time they won’t even have wrestled the number of matches a top WWE star used to have in 1 calendar year. In the end, the WWE producer said it is important to have more matches because more reps means more experience, leading to better quality matches.
