I'm proud to represent District 4. There's too much divisiveness in San Francisco right now. Attempting to recall an elected official over a single issue isn't helpful to us moving forward as a city. I receive strong support from residents for standing up for what's right, for our district, for the city, and the environment. I recognize there are people who don’t agree with Prop K. I want to work with them to address their concerns so they can see the benefit of this park. Supervisors must represent our districts and do what's best for them. That’s why I’ve been a champion for more police protection in the Sunset, bringing algebra back to middle schools, and creating the night markets with community partners. We also have to represent the city as a whole and do what's best for San Francisco. I believe Prop K was best, not only for my district, but for the entire city. It’s best for the environment and will bring joy to generations. I'm going to work with people in my district who have concerns about Prop K. There's many opportunities for us to work together to make this successful for all of us. Just like the closure of JFK Drive, there were people who thought it would be the end of Golden Gate Park. It turned out to be a benefit. Now Golden Gate Park is getting more visitors than ever. Prop K and the creation of an Ocean Beach Park is going to enhance the environment, the neighborhood, and the sunset. It's going to make our district more livable. The idea for an oceanside park started with a neighborhood group in Sunset. Residents of the Sunset came up with the concept for a park and brought it to me. This issue has been discussed and debated publicly for more than three years. Five supervisors put Prop K forward and it passed. I'm going to continue to work with the people who have expressed concerns and ensure that we address their concerns.

One of the most beautiful drives in the USA, not just San Francisco. Keep the Great Highway open! You wouldn’t close route 66 would you? Sat or Sun closer not a problem for park/parties. I think most San Franciscans agree with this concept.
