I am deeply concerned about what we are hearing about an Iran “deal,” being pushed by some voices in the administration. President Trump’s decision to strike Iran was the most consequential decision of his second term. He was right to do so, and we achieved extraordinary military results—including destroying all of their missiles & drones and sinking their entire navy. If the result of all that is to be an Iranian regime—still run by Islamists who chant “death to America”—now receiving billions of dollars, being able to enrich uranium & develop nuclear weapons, and having effective control over the Strait of Hormuz, then that outcome would be a disastrous mistake. The details are still coming out—and I pray the early reports are wrong—but the fact that Biden’s Rob Malley is praising the deal is not encouraging. President Trump believes in peace through strength, and his strong leadership has already made America much safer. He should continue to hold the line, defend America & enforce the red lines he has repeatedly drawn.

Thank you to every landowner in New York State saying no one-sided contracts with foreign solar companies that would destroy the land forever. Our state has failed our farmers and taxed the hard-working citizens into oblivion. But these solar/wind contracts are not what they seem. The companies lie. Decommissioning will fall on the landowner. The land will never be farmed again. And surrounding property values will plummet. It’s screwing everyone else around you over in the most hideous way. It’s ripping rural towns apart and pitting brother v. brother. How about instead of NY and @KathyHochul taking money from our electric bills to court foreign solar developers, that money go towards supporting our state’s farmers instead?

This is precisely why Trump was dumb to get involved in this mess in the first place. These people will never be satisfied. Peace is not an option they are interested in. Not enough people talk about what perimeter fencing off 1,000 acres does to local wildlife. It displaces animals in every direction. Remember that 1 acre = roughly the size of a football field. Now multiply by that by 1,000. That’s the size of these ORES solar complexes. Many animals will never travel more than 1,000 acres in their lifetimes. Thank you to this amazing person for putting their grassland above an industrial solar complex.

Syngenta Cancels Paraquat Herbicide Registration In California: China-owned Syngenta, the largest manufacturer of paraquat-based herbicides, has officially cancelled its registration of Gramaxone (brand name) in California. Though the corporation won't admit it, it's due to the fact that Syngenta is currently facing over 6,400 lawsuits from plaintiffs alleging that paraquat caused their Parkinson's disease, and Syngenta failed to warn consumers of that danger. In fact, Syngenta decided to settle what would have been the first bellwether trial in January, avoiding what was expected to be a landmark jury verdict. Paraquat's link to Parkinson's disease is clear and Syngenta knew it would likely lose the trial. They settled with the victim to avoid the kind of negative spotlight that has been on Bayer-Monsanto and its Roundup-cancer trial losses over the years. Paraquat doesn't just cause Parkinson's disease. It's so toxic that even the EPA has stated, "One sip can kill." Yet, the agency refuses to ban the herbicide that's used on corn, wheat, barley, oats. soybeans, peanuts, lentils, potatoes, tomatoes, almonds, grapes, and more. China owns Syngenta and had the sense to ban paraquat in 2017. But they still sold it to America's farmers. Until now. As California goes, so goes the nation.
