What a fabulous first whole school sports day we had today! Every single person showed so much determination, sportsmanship and absolute joy! 🏃‍♀️ 🏀 🏑 🥚 🥄

We’ve had a brilliant day visiting @HeeleyCityFarm. We were so brave feeding and petting animals and loved hearing the strange noises some of them made! 🐐🐴🐷🐓

Do you love speedy art challenges as much as we do? Have a go at using watercolours with a wet brush, a dry bush, wet paper and dry paper! It makes the hues, tones and values all quite different!

Thank you @RuthAmos from @KidsInventStuff for talking to us about engineering. It really inspired us to create some of our own inventions!

We really enjoyed reenacting Anthony Browne’s adaptation of the famous fairytale Hansel and Gretel. Fun fact- he was born in Sheffield, like most of us! We can’t wait to read more of his books 📚

Yay! We completed our multiplication times tables check today! Now time for a movie and snacks!🤩😃✖️

We really enjoyed our social action yesterday for @Linking_Network yesterday! We have our adults parking tickets around school at the end of the day to congratulate them for safe parking! This will keep our local environment safer.

In celebration of #WorldBeeDay we have been busy crafting our very own bees 🐝 as well as tasting delicious honey! 🍯

Well done to each group for using fractions of amounts to build the perfect pizzas!

We have been using fractions of amounts to put the correct amount of ingredients onto the pizzas! Their whole was 40. Did the put the correct fractions of amounts on them... yes they did! They added everything up at the end to check!

As part of our @Linking_Network project, we have teamed up with some community leaders for our social action. We are encouraging the parents at school to drive more safely in the area and rewarding them with parking certificates! @DEC_SY

The book fair that our school council organised was amazing! It was lovely to see children deciding on a book of their choice and sharing their ideas and thoughts with their friends! Thank you Miss Sweeney and the school council for all of your efforts! 📕📗📘📙

We love using counters to help us find fractions of amounts! That’s because we use our division skills of splitting a number into equal groups to help us find a fraction of an amount!

We are learning about texture in art. We’re taking photos of different things we can see in the classroom that show different textures 🎨
