A lot of people are hoping for a Hyperliquid airdrop and I’m one of them.
But realistically, the key variable is the price of $HYPE.
As long as it doesn’t move higher, it’s hard to see the team triggering an airdrop and adding sell pressure.
Hyperliquid clearly has a long-term vision, inspired by how Jeff Bezos built Amazon.
But with around 40% of the supply still to be distributed, I also think they’ll not wait forever. My base case is something happening in the coming months, ideally with a higher HYPE price by then.
Until that happens, the best move is simply to keep using Hyperliquid, especially testing underused features like Portfolio Margin (and BLP), even in pre-alpha, as well as HIP-3 markets.
By doing that, I learned a lot about upcoming catalysts for HL, generated +1B trading volume and found a bug which was rewarded (bug bounty).
Btw, what you think Hypurr NFTs will actually be used for? Do you see them playing a role in the next Hyperliquid airdrop, or having real utility down the line? 🤔
