The scale of today’s attack strongly indicates that Russia has no intention of really ending this war. If we take into account that Russia is also helping the Iranian regime to carry out strikes across the region, the conclusion becomes self-evident: without additional and strong pressure on Russia, without significant Russian losses, those in Moscow will not develop any desire to back down from the war and somehow come to terms with peace again. Pressure is clearly lacking right now. On the contrary, there are signals encouraging Russia to continue what they have been doing for years, only increasing their aggressiveness. The fact that sanctions against Russia have been partially eased serves Russia’s interest to continue the war. The Russians will earn at least two billion dollars from the easing of sanctions in these weeks alone. This is dangerous for everyone.

On Monday, Whirlpool in Amana laid off 341 employees while the company expands in Mexico. “The state needs better unemployment benefits, a higher minimum wage, and clawback provisions to return tax incentives to the state if companies pull out of their investments.”

The Ukrainians just blew up the Kremniy EL electronics plant in Bryansk, Russia. Reportedly using as many as 10 cruise missiles. The plant is reported to be involved in producing electronics for a variety of systems, including UAVs, Pantsirs and Iskander missiles. 10 missiles being used would also be one of the largest missile strikes in recent times.

Our team is now on its way to the Gulf region, where they can help protect lives and stabilize the situation. We see the challenges that exist now: the Iranian regime has effectively blocked the Strait of Hormuz – one of the main routes for supplying oil and gas to the global market. This is a major source of instability. No one in the world can yet say how long all of this will last, but it is important that the protection of life starts working effectively as soon as possible. Stability is important for us as well. Those now seeking Ukraine’s help must continue to assist our own defense – first and foremost, our air defense. Last year we already proposed a drone agreement to the United States. This is the right way forward: to partner with us in the production and use of drones, and everyone now sees that there is no alternative to this approach. Ukraine has the greatest experience in the world in countering attack drones, and without our experience it will be very difficult for the Gulf region, the entire Middle East, and partners in Europe and America to build strong protection.
