@JacobSteinberg @Perry88CFC No but it’s a bit rich moaning about L1 prices when your team are taking the piss out of smaller local clubs really.
You could go and watch Orient vs Mansfield tonight for £11 all in (lad and dad) btw. That’s excellent value.

Football will lose the younger generation because ticket prices are ridiculous. My son is obsessed with football, loves going and can easily sit through a game but taking him can be very expensive.

"I will reduce from 45 minutes each half to 25 minutes.” Aurelio De Laurentiis, owner of Napoli, believes football will lose the younger generation. But he has ideas. Lots of them, including no red and yellow cards and changing the rules so there are more goals...

@ShellAndStripe @ColU_Official Nowhere near where I live 🙂

@JacobSteinberg Get down to @ColU_Official Under 11's go free 🙌

@whirley84 Yeah. I hate this idea that football is somehow competing with Netflix. Netflix is not more enjoyable than seeing your hero up close.
English

@JacobSteinberg My lads the same. 9 now. Watches any and every game on tv. Been takin him to west ham since he was 5 and if we are not at West Ham we are watching non league football somewhere. He’s Obsessed. Bang on re costs though that’s the killer. No concessions for some games now sadly

@Lovely_Footy @AHRULES36 @Perry88CFC Quite a lot for what it is. But it’s not really related to the original post. A kids ticket in Band 1 at West Ham v Arsenal next month is £100.
English

@JacobSteinberg @AHRULES36 @Perry88CFC £30 for Orient v Rotherham this weekend in the cheap section. 2 teams that could be playing L2 in August.
English

@SzpukyJ @Perry88CFC I am not responsible for the actions of West Ham’s owners
English

@JacobSteinberg @Perry88CFC They have to charge what they do to stay in business, don’t they. Loads of clubs do ‘kids for a quid’ a couple games a season and suchlike too.
Clubs like Orient have been screwed by your knobhead ownership as well (and the London taxpayer I might add).
English

@AHRULES36 @Perry88CFC For football that isn’t that good, played by teams I don’t support and therefore don’t interest me enough to spend a lot on tickets during a cost of living crisis. Not that odd.
English

@JacobSteinberg @Perry88CFC What do you mean by for what it is? How do you expect these clubs to be able to pay their bills? Let alone the greed of players and agents
English

@Perry88CFC Our nearest L1 team is surprisingly expensive for what it is
English

@JacobSteinberg I actually disagree with this somewhat. Yes,going to Chelsea (or any other club in the PL is ridiculous now - especially for kids). But you must have a local non-league team, or even a team in the leagues below the Championship. The cost of those is from £0 to the cost of a lager

@JacobSteinberg Interestingly you never hear an owner talking about the issues with the price of the game. They can "fix it" in a multitude of other ways, which seem to include fundamentally changing the most popular sport in the world for the last 100 years.

@JacobSteinberg Yeap and if you can't go to games you need a million different subscriptions to watch. I'm seriously thinking about cancelling all of them and just listen to the radio like I did as a kid. My team is boring to watch anyways so the radio might make it more exciting!
English

@JacobSteinberg 100%
Add in 3 streaming services, kits through the roof etc.
Yes you can change football a bit to stop the lengthy VAR waits, punish play acting etc.
But fundamentally the game is far too expensive for most anymore and that, if anything, will kill it
English

@GrazaWhu My boy runs around kitchen doing fake commentary on pretend games, collects cards, loves programmes I bring back, will watch anything … I don’t see him struggle to watch it. It’s just access.

Odd comments from Rosenior on the hurdles that still need to be overcome with Fernandez. Not even entirely clear he’ll play against United

@JacobSteinberg Ok well maybe someone is planning on making pizza with home made dough, they need to make the dough, knead it, let it rise etc etc
