I have just met Samuel & Elijah’s mum. In the heavy rains she was still selling maize. The boys are also busy on the streets. I told her to look for the boys to go rest. I capitalized her business. The boys will attend school. They will not work for long hours. A smile was born.

At 11:15pm as I drive home around Vienna College, I find Samuel and Elijah (10 & 8) selling maize. I ask them some qns. They inform me they help their mum to collect fees. She sells cooked maize opp Vienna. I promised to visit the her tomorrow and help her collect their fees.

My sister @DoreenNasaasira it is good manners to pay back especially if you "borrowed". That is financial discipline unless the terms were different. Expecting not to pay because the other person is an "intimate partner" is called MANIPULATION.
If U don't intend to pay back, ask for a GRANT not LOAN.

Success vs Luck: The Power of Preparation
Success does not come by luck; success is prepared for and worked for. As the Luganda saying goes: “Omukisa gujjira yetegese” — fortune finds the one who is prepared.
Personally, I doubt the idea of luck as many people imagine it. You cannot simply spend all day - all night in prayer asking for blessings and expect success to fall into your hands. Prayer is important, but effort and preparation must accompany it.
What people often call “luck” is simply a beneficial moment meeting someone who has already prepared themselves. Because when an opportunity appears, only the prepared person is able to recognize it, seize it, and benefit from it.
That is why I always tell the youth: success does not fall like rain. It is earned through commitment, discipline, and hard work. If you desire success, focus on what you are building, what you are learning, and where you are putting your effort.
When preparation meets opportunity, people may call it luck — but in truth, it is the reward of preparation.

There is a growing narrative, especially on social media, claiming that "education is not the key to success", that one must search for other “keys.” I strongly caution young people against this misguided thinking.
Education remains a key. It may not be the only key, but it is certainly a fundamental one. It opens doors to knowledge, opportunity, innovation, and responsible leadership.
Education equips individuals to make informed decisions, contribute meaningfully to society, and navigate the complexities of the modern world with confidence and integrity. Nothing replaces knowledge. No one should mislead you into believing otherwise.
Yes, there are a few successful individuals with limited formal education, but how many are they? They do not even constitute 1% of Uganda’s population. Exceptional cases should not be used to misguide a generation.
Sustainable success is built on knowledge, discipline, and values and education provides that foundation. I firmly debunk the narrative that education is not essential to success.

I still haven’t gotten over the lady who threatened to suspend me and Yunus for making a procession while we delivered Yunus for graduation today after 10 years of Study.🥳 Somebody remind her that my degree is 4 days old and it’s too late to suspend me anymore! 😂🔥

WATCH: Kawempe North MP-elect Elias Luyimbazi Nalukoola returns litter to driver in Kampala traffic jam
In a video from early Friday, Mr Nalukoola picked up the litter amid glowing red taillights, walked to the white SUV, and handed it back through the driver's window. The Kawempe North lawmaker earned widespread praise for showing civic responsibility amid Kampala's ongoing litter problems, which clog drains and worsen flooding.
