Perfectly put - thought we were past this point by now, but still experiencing pushback when discussing for example compliance, there are enough people that would prefer to keep the status quo, any talks about regulation is shut down immediately. Unless we start accepting that most people don't have your best interest at heart but rather their own and move towards some sort of guidelines and frameworks, these people will still operate unchecked claiming that anything else goes against decentralization and the man is coming to steal everyones money while they themselves have both hands in your cookiejar.

The other day i responded to a crypto news article that claimed the biggest threat to crypto was a looming US government shutdown. I pushed back. The biggest threat to crypto isn’t governments. It’s crypto itself - specifically, our collective refusal to demand higher standards from our builders. But what does that actually mean? It means we’ve built an ecosystem that rewards the worst behavior imaginable, then act outraged when the worst behavior keeps happening. Take the maximum extraction machine. Launches optimized for speed, hype, and asymmetry. Insiders get positioned early. “Community” exists just long enough to provide exits. Then we reset, rename it, and do it again. The system is simply working in coordination with incentive alignment. Then there’s centralized control hiding behind the broader foundational promise of decentralization. We love the narrative of self-sovereignty, yet route nearly all meaningful volume through a small set of venues that are functionally untouchable. Accounts frozen. Withdrawals throttled. “Risk control” invoked with no transparency, no appeal, no timeline. Whether every case is justified or not misses the point - unilateral power with zero recourse is a fundamental failure to deliver on the promise of crypto. Which brings us to market manipulation so persistent it’s become the rule, not the exception. Spoof walls that appear and vanish. Liquidity that exists just long enough to scare price. Trigger-based cascades that turn modest moves into mass liquidations. On days like 10/10, the market doesn’t discover price organically. And afterward, we argue about headlines as if the ecosystem design itself wasn’t the catalyst with most protocols giving a 40% or greater weighting to the price feed of a single, centralized entity that catastrophically failed. Add to that: VC cliffs pretending to be fair launches. Influencers selling “conviction” while simultaneously selling into your belief. Governance dominated by whales. Transparency replaced with vibes and cult-like personalities. I am damn tired of hearing "that's just crypto for you!" as if it's a mandatory part of the crypto experience. That's not good enough for me. This is what I mean by not demanding higher standards. Not perfection. Not regulation theatrics. Standards. Transparency as default. Real consequences for bad actors and bad venues. Stop celebrating max extraction just because you found yourself on the right side of it this week. And maybe - just maybe - building systems where trust is a feature, not a marketing slogan. Crypto doesn’t die from a government shutdown. Crypto dies when we keep normalizing and accepting how broken it really is. 🫡 From the depths — The White Whale 🐋

I think there is a misconception that creates an impression that Compliance and Decentralization are defacto at odds of each other. Compliance frameworks should and are being also viewed with the scope of decentralization in mind, for example in how to allow for systems that are permissionless, where that's actually what ensures that it is compliant in itself in its most basic form, no ownership of outcomes - once you bring in human manual operations it is no longer compliant without added licensing etc.

The AI economy is fragmented. Great code is fading in obscurity, because there is no Source of Truth. It's time to organise the info chaos. Enter /AIDb

@alphakek Taking it back to the roots of decentralized ownership and allowing the markets to decide what knowledge is of interest and useful to them, supercharged by AI, very excited for this new direction - strong directional pivot by the team here 👍

Alphakek presents ALIVE, a new AI protocol for turning onchain markets into training arenas for Brains - AI ecosystems you can actually own. A Brain is an evolving, earning AI intelligence environment with a singular, focused purpose/goal/mission. Think of it as a ‘new internet’ with its own asset layer, cashflows, content, interfaces, and evolving intelligence core. ALIVE’s job is simple: - Let anyone create Brains. - Let markets train them. - Let AI evolve their surfaces. - Capture a fraction of revenue and buy back AIKEK. Thread & full blog post ↓

@iakov__ @Maneki_DeFi Good update, when most focus on B2C doubling down on B2B and B2B2C is a great strategy - the marketsize of inactive capital within companies and corporations is vast

gm gm. excited to share that I've joined the team at @pyloncapital I've known @haitzu for years and he has a great eye for strong teams and passionate founders. @0xDith is a powerhouse on GTM. the chance to get to work with these 2 legends was one I couldn't pass up crypto marketing is hard and Pylon has already helped multiple teams with growth, working with strong teams like Mythical, Chilliz, SIRE, etc. Haitzu lead token growth at IMX previously and has advised many top teams across the space. he's incredibly driven (he moves FAST) and passionate about helping teams grow and scale Dith put PoP/PN on the map and has built one of the most passionate communities around Gigaverse. his ability to execute on GTM is something I've admired and can't wait to learn more from him despite gaming being my initial focus here, I've always loved tech in general. that's what led me to crypto in the first place. crypto's intersection with AI is obvious and Pylon is here to be a part of that I've been worked in and helped scale multiple start ups and realised how much I love the 0-1 energy. finding teams with strong fundamentals and working alongside them to help build out and scale is energizing I took a bit of a break after moving as I didn't want to rush back into anything, knowing that I'd find the right opportunity and here we are this also gave me some more time to spend in the trenches, finding exciting new things happening in the space. there's nowhere else like it here and as insane and deranged as it is sometimes, I love it there's still lots of talent here too and we keep seeing new strong teams joining the space, even if it doesn't seem like it on CT some days now I get a chance to speak with these ambitious founders, they share their challenges and we get to support and help solve them community is a huge part of that. and I mean real community, building a core of passionate and true believers to rally behind you and your vision there's a reason I say things like "cults win" and we see it time and time again. find your die hards and foster them because they are your rock we're going to continue to find top teams to support, grow their communities and help go to market really excited to join Pylon now and proud to work on killer projects I am personally deeply passionate about it's been amazing to work closely with the SIRE team this last few weeks and looking forward to working with more teams like that Pylon coded
