I'd like to formally apologise to the @ofgem staff for losing my rag in a background briefing just now and saying its changes are a "fucking disgrace that sells consumers down the river". I should've behaved better. My ire's institutional not individual, its was inappropriate...

@coopuk It is that store. What are police going to do when it’s teenage girls and if they haven’t got a criminal record? Why no security guard?

@surrell107 Hi Michelle, thanks for getting in touch. The safety of our customers and staff is paramount. Each crime is reported to the police and the security cameras footage is passed over to them. Is this the Birkenshaw-Bradford Road store please? Thanks ^Andrea.

@coopuk just been posted on Birkenshaw FB page ‘Just witnessed 3 teenage girls shoplifting in the coop, alerted staff but sadly they are not allowed to approach them’ Is this not the biggest green light to shoplifters that you can give????

So this isn’t going to plan! Been double jabbed, steered clear of COVID for 18 months. Had a positive test today. Of course we’re isolating but seeing the crowds at Wembley and other events…not sure my act will make much difference

@KirstieMAllsopp I SO agree with you Kirstie. I am only 60 and healthy but I would not stop seeing my children even if I felt it put me at risk. The certainty is...we’ll all die of something. Sadness and loneliness is the last thing I want Laughter and joy is what I want to hear when I pop off!!

If we lock people away, fail to see them, to hug them, kiss them, to hold their hands we’ve got to make dam sure we know why. If you only have a few years left it’s your choice to live those last few years more isolated, not your kids’ choice and certainly not the government’s.

@Huw75 @bradfordmdc I would love to know which gyms they actually visited before ‘discussing’ this with the government. You certainly didn’t visit one like Streamline gym in Bradford that is huge, with massive social distancing and clear rules

Gyms & leisure centres remain closed in Bradford. They have experienced appalling treatment with mixed messaging & zero support. I’ve requested the leader of @bradfordmdc commit to a forum with facilities to answer their questions on what has happened & next steps.

@mrdanwalker I love this, it made me cry. Let’s not lose the plot folks or be sanctimonious. We’re all doing the best we can and currently, only 2 to 3 people in a thousand have Covid. It’s a pretty low risk strategy to hug your mum through a thick sheet of plastic!

@KirstieMAllsopp @BBCNewsnight I totally agree with you. Teachers have done a brilliant job throughout the lockdown, with children of key workers. There has been little evidence that this has caused an issue for the children or teachers. The rate of infection is likely to have decreased still further by June

The Covid mortality rate for children is 0.01% roughly the same as seasonal flu and if you don’t believe me ask @BBCNewsnight. Those spreading fear and misinformation to parents, and children, are doing real, lasting damage to an entire generation.
