@JonAhlgrim @oneputt56 @GaryLongtin @Weatherhack Better half is an understatement! Jon we're looking forward to it...even if it's nearly triple-digit temps! 🥵🥵🥵

I have two #GolfChat meet ups over the next two weeks. Two days in Tucson with old pals @oneputt56 and @GaryLongtin and pumped to have @Weatherhack join us. Then, a long awaited round at AZ National with @golfafter60 and his better half. Fun times ahead! 🌵⛳️❤️

@AB48420889 @GataDawgB2B Paiute was booked solid a month ago. You're correct regarding rates being jacked up. Happens every year.
English

@Weatherhack @GataDawgB2B They can. They just have to pay like tourists. I’m not paying $400 for a $80 course. I’m watching hooops anyway. I’ll be at circa later and have table if you wanna come by
English

@AB48420889 @GataDawgB2B Locals can't get tee times the first weekend of March Madness.
English

@GataDawgB2B Cabo is amazing. Golf rates out here insane. No locals playing. They won’t give locals local rate during this time which is shitty but I get it

So, are we now convinced that @GoldenKnights suck against good teams? @RyanHockeyGuy @JesseGranger_ @SinBinVegas

@GolfTravelerJoe To me Masters Sunday, Open Championship Sunday, Stanley Cup Game 7, and Olympic gold medal hockey (men’s and women’s) are at the top.

My apologies but for some reason the algorithm locked the original post.
Will be giving away a brand new Customized Scotty Cameron (you choose finish, lasering & custom Paintfill) to a follower (on Sunday). All you have to do is like, repost, copy 3 friends & follow to enter. If you are already a follower include a pic of your dog or favorite pet. Here’s Bogey after breakfast:

So, Mrs. Weatherhack is in KC visiting the youngest son and helping him finish furnishing his new house. I'll miss her til she gets back, but just me and #QueenCharlie isn't too bad. #GolfChat

@JosephPeel7680 @JonahDispatch Jesus effing Christ dude.....they're dogs.
English

@Tigerwoodsgirls She's now begging popcorn (about a twice a year treat) from me. 😂
English

@Weatherhack QC looks so excited that it’s just gonna be her and her daddy.
English

@3sticksCGCS Probably the KC location of Nebraska Furniture Mart. Also Lowe's or Home Depot.
English

@Weatherhack Are they heading over to IKEA? My son lives in St. Louis and when my wife visits him, they have to make IKEA runs.
English

@oneputt56 Most for her. For myself, I don't want to get back into the bad habits that got me fat.
English

@Weatherhack Not bad at all.
Lots of pets and treats for Queen Charlie.
And a few for you too 🤪
English

@JonAhlgrim Not really. I do a majority (90%) of the cooking and 60% of the laundry, so not much more different than a usual week.
English

@Weatherhack Unfortunately, there is no data anywhere close to there in 1879, so I cannot check.

Phoenix, AZ hit 101°F this afternoon. 🌡️🔥
Hotter than Satan's nutsack. 🌶️👿
Not only did this shatter the previous daily record high of 95° set in 2017, it also set two other records:
1⃣ Earliest 100° day on record since 1895.
2⃣ Monthly record high maximum for March.
The previous record for both was 100°F on March 26, 1988.
For context, though, it was 99° on both March 16 and 17, 2007. So, it's not quite as scary as it might seem. It is still impressive and “unprecedented” in the context of official weather records.
But I also checked the records from NOAA NCEI's Fort Data that predates the U.S. Weather Bureau (now the National Weather Service) to see if there has ever been any extremes comparable to this during the 19th century. As it turns out, there may have been.
Phoenix (records were kept at Fort McDowell at the time, which is actually slightly higher in elevation and usually slightly cooler) hit 100°F on March 3, 1879, then several more times later in the month, including 112°F on March 30th.
From what I could find, Stevenson Screens were used at stations in Arizona at the time, so although it is possible that these readings could be too high, I don't see any indication that they were at face value. I also checked the surrounding months to be sure, and most of the readings seemed reasonable in comparison to what you'd expect in the area today. Other observation sites in Arizona and California (including Los Angeles) were very warm in mid-late March 1879 as well.
Either way, this week's weather is an impressive feat and is incredibly rare climatologically speaking.

@PGAPappas @oaklandhillscc My brother lives a driver/5i away. Have been following the Oakland Hills Clubhouse rebuild since it started.

Follow up--I haven't been to that local Taco shop since I decided to become less fat. Results--miserable. The breakfast burrito which, though amazing(and I couldn't finish), has been sitting in my gut like a lump. 11 hours later I'm still miserable. 🤢 #GolfChat

Had to drop off Mrs. WH at the airport. Not wanting to go to work 90 minutes early, I head to a local Taco shop to get breakfast. Let's say there was an interesting mix. People heading to work and people who celebrated St. Patrick's Day a little too hard. 😂 #GolfChat
