Chants of “Cooper Hjerpe” ring throughout Goss Stadium as the potential National Pitcher of the Year comes out of the game for likely the last time in Corvallis. He then emerges from the dugout and waves his cap to the crowd.

Cooper Hjerpe is the best pitcher in the country, and he gets the job done out of the pen to send Oregon State to super regionals, stranding the tying run at second base with a K in the ninth. Heck of a battle here, and Vandy made quite a run out of the losers’ bracket.
