@WFAN660 Longtime Yankees broadcaster John Sterling famously used the phrase "El comedulce, Bobby Abreu is as sweet as candy!" as his signature home run call for Bobby Abreu. Sterling loved this specific, theatrical call because Abreu's father was nicknamed "the Candy Man"

We are devastated to hear about the passing of John Sterling, a WFAN and Yankees radio icon whose voice was synonymous with an entire generation of Yankee fandom. Rest in peace, John ❤️
