As a result, the conductors snapped, and the transformer is also damaged.  Tampering and operating on the Eskom network is illegal and a criminal offense, and it can also lead to injuries.  We urge community members to report any unauthorised person who operates on our equipment or suspected to be conducting electricity related illegal activities such as theft, vandalism, meter bypassing and illegal connections to the Eskom Crime Line No 0800 11 27 22 or WhatsApp 081 333 3323. Such acts affect health care & education facilities, businesses, and law-abiding citizens.
