Technical overview on the whys ??? Lattice-Based Cryptography Overview Lattice-based cryptography is currently the leading approach for post-quantum security. Core Hardness Assumptions: • Learning With Errors (LWE) and Module-LWE • Shortest Vector Problem (SVP) and Closest Vector Problem (CVP) in high-dimensional lattices Why it’s strong against quantum computers: • Shor’s algorithm (which breaks RSA and ECC) does not efficiently solve lattice problems. • The best known quantum algorithms (e.g., Grover) only give quadratic speedup, which is not enough to break properly parameterized lattices. Algorithms used in Church of Pump: • Dilithium → Based on Module-LWE + Module-SIS • Kyber → Based on Module-LWE • Both are NIST standardized (FIPS 203 & 204) This is why we chose lattice-based schemes as the foundation of the quantum-hardened bridge.

2. NIST Post-Quantum Standards Reference NIST has standardized the following (as of 2024): • FIPS 204 — CRYSTALS-Dilithium (Digital Signatures) • FIPS 203 — CRYSTALS-Kyber (Key Encapsulation Mechanism) • FIPS 205 — SPHINCS+ (Stateless Hash-Based Signatures) These are the algorithms used in the Church of Pump PQC layer.
