The Third High-Level Conference of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development, hosted by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), was held in Beijing from April 21 to 22. Under the theme "Action-Oriented: Building a Global Community of Development for All," the conference brought together over 600 representatives from more than 140 countries, international and regional organizations, and specialized agencies, both online and offline. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions and built broad consensus on topics such as digitally empowering Global South modernization, enhancing climate resilience in developing countries, and mobilizing financing for sustainable development. The conference released the List of Deliverables for a Shared Future Actions Plan, outlining 50 key measures across eight priority areas of the Global Development Initiative, including poverty reduction, food security, climate change and green development, and the digital economy.
The speed and scale of China's development have impressed Nadia Rasheed @NadiaRashd, UNFPA representative to China. She believes that China's remarkable journey offers valuable lessons for other developing countries, particularly in long-term planning, forward-looking vision, and investment in human capital across all stages of life.
