In all humility and with complete respect for judiciary, I have written the following letter to Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma, informing her that pursuing Gandhian principles of Satyagraha, it won’t be possible for me to pursue this case in her court, either in person or through a counsel. I have taken this difficult decision after coming to the clear conclusion that the proceedings being conducted in her court do not, in any manner, satisfy the fundamental principle that ‘justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done’. My participation in these proceedings, either myself or through a counsel will not achieve anything meaningful.

उत्तर प्रदेश बार काउंसिल चुनाव (दिनांक 22/04/2026) अपडेट
अब तक 75 जिलों में से केवल 19 जिलों की प्रथम वरीयता के मतों की गणना हुई है।
मुझे अत्यंत हर्ष है कि मैं अकेला प्रत्याशी हूँ जिन्हें सभी गणना किए गए जिलों से व्यापक समर्थन प्राप्त हुआ है।
पिछले बार काउंसिल चुनाव में मुझे कुल 987 प्रथम वरीयता मत प्राप्त हुए थे, जिनके आधार पर विजय प्राप्त हुई थी।
इस बार, मात्र 19 जिलों की गणना में ही 991 मत प्राप्त हो चुके हैं — जो आप सभी के विश्वास और समर्थन का प्रमाण है।
वर्तमान में, मैं पूरे प्रदेश में चौथे स्थान पर हूँ।
अब तक की मतगणना के आधार पर शीर्ष 50 प्रत्याशियों की सूची जारी की गई है, जिनमें से 1 से 25 स्थान तक के प्रत्याशी विजयी घोषित होंगे।
आप सभी सम्मानित अधिवक्ता साथियों का हृदय से आभार एवं धन्यवाद।
आपका विश्वास ही मेरी सबसे बड़ी शक्ति है।

It was Justice Abhay S Oka who demanded hard proof when PMO EAC member Sanjeev Sanyal criticised the judiciary, insisting vague allegations mean nothing without concrete proof.
Now, hes joined the chorus against Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma over an Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad event despite no legal ground for recusal, no proven bias, no violation. To top it all, he had attended an ABAP event when he was sitting judge himself, which many sitting judges continue to do. Same man, different standards. Not law, just bandwagon.
