I remember when #indigenoustourism was a nice after thought in the tourism industry in Canada.
Times have changed and despite issues we face today, there is no doubt that Indigenous tourism in “core” to how we present Canada to the world.
The @ITAC_Corporate team and partners such as @DestinationCAN @IndigenousMB @TravelManitoba and @TourismWPG made #Indigenous culture part of the opening reception at #RVC2025.
Buyers from all over the world in Winnipeg this week for RVC and there is 69 ITAC members from throughout Canada, a 23% increase from last year, that are export ready and able to execute sales with international partners from several different countries!
Thank you to our ITAC team and building the consumer brand #TheOriginalOriginal!
Also amazing to watch the Ivan Flett Memorial Dancers perform for the delegates.
Come explore Indigenous cultures this summer.

Not traveling to the United States so not concerned about the precipitous drop in forward bookings on flights to the U.S.? Think again!
Most domestic flights in Canada are made up of roughly 1/3 of travelers flying domestically + 1/3 of travelers flying internationally + 1/3 of travelers flying to the U.S.
If the 1/3 of travelers headed to the U.S. decide not to travel at all by air, then the economics of those flights dramatically changes.
A significant proportion of leisure travel involves habit and tradition. For some families, that annual trip to Florida, Maine, Palm Springs, Hawaii or the Carolinas is a tradition. If that tradition is broken this year, is it replaced by a trip?
There's a lot more to this story than meets the eye.

What can Canadians do to show their patriotism through their air travel? 1) Discover Canada. Most Canadians rarely visit other regions yet Canada has so much to offer. If you live in BC, come to Atlantic Canada. If you live in Atlantic Canada, visit the West Coast! Then when you're done, travel to the places in between. You'll be happy you did! 2) Choose Canadian airlines. They're the ones who serve Canadian cities foreign carriers refuse to. They're the ones that employ Canadians as pilots, flight attendants, airport staff and managers. They're the ones that buy their supplies in Canada.

Alberta is home to world-class food manufacturing facilities, and beef processing is at the heart of it.
I’m very pleased to announce that @FoodJbs has qualified for Alberta’s Agri-Processing Investment Tax Credit program by investing $89.7 million to expand its beef patty processing line at its facility in Brooks.
This tax credit program is providing the right conditions for food and ag processors to invest in our province - making Alberta the best place for your company to call home.
