This intricate, dome-shaped nest belongs to a Long-tailed Tit. Woven with mosses, lichens & spider’s silk, these amazing structures take 2-3 weeks to build. Found next to the path heading to the Waderscrape by regular visitor, Nick Acheson. An amazing #NatureFind 🪹

It's been quite the year! ✨🎵 So, with the help of our Reserve Team, we thought we'd crunch the numbers and take a little look at some of the statistics 🔢⬇️ Here's to an even more exciting 2026, packed with wildlife and discovery 🦫🌳

📉 Our new paper shows Bewick’s Swan numbers in NW/NE Europe have fallen to ~12,900 birds - a 56.7% decline since 1995, with further losses predicted by 2026 unless survival or breeding success improves. Flyway-wide conservation is urgent. 📷 Read paper > shorturl.at/IV6eT
