I need to write about how good Sandra Hüller’s “Sign of the Times” karaoke scene is in PROJECT HAIL MARY. A vital part of her character’s self-expression and a defining feature of the film’s optimism. Hüller is wonderful, and she chose a great song.

Have to give team Forbidden Fruits an extra special shout-out. As someone who is utterly obsessed with the filmmaking process (especially the genre filmmaking process) and everything one has to pour into an independent feature in order to see it through to fruition, getting to follow this one from set to SXSW premiere was the ultimate treat. That’s not something that happens often in this line of work and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity.

Making movies is hard and I’m forever in awe of the process, so I’m always extremely grateful for an opportunity to do a set visit. Sending a big ol’ thanks to the FORBIDDEN FRUITS team for welcoming me to Free Eden last year and for taking time out of a busy shoot day to sit down and chat! Cannot wait to see the film have its big debut at SXSW! ❤️🎥🍎
