With today’s vote, House and Senate Republicans have officially ended the third Democrat government shutdown of this Congress. And here’s the end result of Democrats’ record-setting obstruction: CBP and ICE will now be funded for the remainder of President Trump’s term and Democrats will have no ability to defund these agencies in the 119th or 120th Congresses. All that Democrats have achieved by their shutdown is a useful reminder to the American people of their support for open borders and keeping criminal illegal immigrants in American communities — policies that have been soundly rejected by the American people over and over again. We hope this episode serves as a future reminder to Democrats that when they shut the government down, they will receive less than nothing in return.

It’s not double dipping, one is the retirement for their career and the other is VA compensation for their injuries. When a veteran is medically retired from combat related injuries, their VA disabiiity is removed from their retirement checks. It’s already been funded, so they’re stealing the disability payments for other budget items.

Well, at the moment, the Democrats are the only party who give a damn about combat-wounded medically retired veterans. You still send $40 to $80 MILLION A WEEK TO THE TALIBAN while veterans are “TOO EXPENSIVE” to receive their earned VA disability compensation. The Senate just voted to fund Border Patrol and ICE. My statement here: This effort has always been about protecting Americans and strengthening our national security. The initial bill only included funding for Border Patrol and ICE. Several amendments that would not strengthen our national security were presented. I voted against those. I voted for final passage of the initial legislation, which will fund our Border Patrol and ICE. These law enforcement officers work hard to keep our nation safe and they deserve our support.
