WALL STREET TALENT RETURNS Grace Legodi has transitioned from New York investment banking to co-founding Keyo Ventures, a South African fund tackling the "critical gap" in green economy financing. The firm provides venture debt to early-stage businesses in electric mobility, water, and sustainable agriculture. In leveraging a R2-million catalytic investment from Anglo American’s Impact Finance Network, Legodi successfully unlocked R35-million in institutional capital. Her model combines funding with high-tech operational tracking to reduce risk. With a goal to raise R500 million, Keyo Ventures aims to expand its sustainable investment footprint across 16 SADC countries. Full story - ln.run/0icPj

The University of South Africa is taking a leading role in advancing veterinary science through strengthened regional collaboration. In partnership with the University of Namibia, Unisa has formalised a new agreement focused on enhancing veterinary education, research, and training across Southern Africa. The collaboration creates opportunities for joint research programmes, academic and student exchanges, and work-integrated learning, while also supporting postgraduate supervision and knowledge sharing between the two institutions. As part of this initiative, Unisa will nominate a cohort of South African students to pursue veterinary studies at UNAM, helping to build critical skills and strengthen capacity in the region. #Unisa150andBeyond
