It is beyond pathetic to watch European jets actively shoot down drones in the Middle East while refusing to do the exact same thing over Ukraine. We are willing to militarily defend airspace on another continent but let a European nation face genocide alone

Massive reality check. Tech oligarchs did not suddenly become conservative. Biden tried to regulate Amazon and Meta so they simply switched sides and bought Trump instead. It is not about ideology it is about raw capitalist control over the government.

Universal Basic Income will not solve anything. No matter how high it is the billionaires who own everything will just keep putting up their prices until you can't afford anything. The Billionaires must be removed from power.

Wait: are we really doing this? People are arguing about how Trump voted (mail vs. in-person)… but ignoring the obvious question: Isn’t there federal law about felons voting?

People say the BBC has a diversity problem but it has just replaced a 58-yr-old Cambridge-educated white man with a *57-yr-old* Cambridge-educated white man so I don't know what they're talking about telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/03/2…

When Charles de Gaulle led France, he treated public money as something untouchable. At the Élysée Palace, there was a strict rule for him: no personal expense could ever be paid for by the state. His wife, Yvonne, kept a small notebook in which she meticulously recorded all family expenses — from food and electricity to clothing and even soap. At the end of each month, she would send a check to the state treasury, reimbursing every last cent. Once, an accountant remarked that this was not really necessary. She calmly replied: “Everything that is not public is personal. And for personal matters, we pay ourselves.” This principle applied without exception. Their children and grandchildren were not allowed to use official cars for private matters. De Gaulle himself refused any privileges of office: he paid his own bills at the palace — even for the smallest things, such as soap or family meals. Moreover, he did not use his presidential salary, living only on his military pension. After his death, there was no wealth or luxury left behind — only a modest house in Colombey-les-Deux-Églises, purchased before the war. It is said that he would sometimes personally send money to the treasury if he suspected that any personal expense might have accidentally been covered by the state budget. This was not a formality. It was a principle. ✨ An example of true integrity, honor, and responsibility in public service.

Jack Smith confirms that trump stole all those classified documents so he could sell them. The fact that this disgusting fucking traitor not only got away with all his heinous crimes but somehow got to be president again is an absolutely unfathomable collapse of the rule of law.
Ana Cabrera@AnaCabrera

NEW: Trump had business motive for keeping classified documents, Jack Smith finds The special counsel’s team found Donald Trump held onto documents so secret only six people could legally review them — and believed his reason for doing so was personal financial gain. ms.now/news/trump-cla…

I hope one day in the future there will be a detailed investigation into the massive levels of insider trading undertaken by the Trump family. It has been financial criminality on an unprecedented scale. Without doubt the most corrupt President in US history.

Let me get this straight: - Trump tore up the Obama Nuclear deal, saying he’d make a better deal. - Trump can’t make a better deal so he goes to war with Iran to get them to basically agree to the same things the Obama deal included. All because he hates Obama.

GOP Rep. Mary Franson says she's not worried about climate change because it's not in the Bible: "If you've read the Good Book, you know how it ends, and it's not with climate change." How can we expect Republicans to do serious work when they're so proud about ignoring science?

one of the media's major failures is not questioning the president seriously. if/when he insults a reporter they sit quietly like frightened children hoping not to be scolded. if he replies to a question by deflecting it, ask the question again; ask follow-up questions. UK journalists are skilled at this. without a courageous press, any authoritarian will walk all over them & hold them in contempt. journalism isn't supposed to be about being "liked"--rather, representing ordinary citizens who do not have access to persons of power.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

"By making everything just a small daily story instead of telling the broader one about this guy being out of his mind and a danger to all of us, journalists show they’re still worried about coming across as partisan. They don’t want to make themselves part of the story by calling him out. They’re afraid he will direct his deranged behavior toward them. They’d rather write down what he says and assume the American people can figure it out on their own. But obviously some can’t." publicnotice.co/p/mark-jacob-i…

MAGA aren’t drawn to Trump because he is smart, competent, or “Christian”. They are drawn to him because he tells uneducated, insecure, angry people that their stupidity, ignorance, and racism are actually strengths.
