The Coaches’ Portal is ALWAYS open. The question is, why isn’t the NCAA system complaining about “tampering,” “commitment,” or “loyalty” as it does with player decisions? That’s what hypocrisy looks like. If you want players to stay in place, collectively bargain or sign them to contracts.

@KellisRobinett I did not realize this until you said it. I have no idea what the motivation is. It's the difference between 3 or 4 games on Day 1. I don't see the point. Yeet Teams 17 and 18, sure, but no reason Nebraska shouldn't be able to at least play its way back on to the bubble.

It seems very weird to me that the ACC and Big Ten only include 15 teams in their conference basketball tournaments. Why not invite everyone? It can't be that hard to play a few extra games. At the very least, go with 16 teams like the Big 12 and SEC. Fifteen is super random.

Climate tidbit: Wichita's 86 degree temperature change from -8 on Feb 20th to 78 on the 24th was the city's 2nd greatest temperature swing within a 4-day period since records began in 1888! The greatest temperature swing is 88 degrees over a 3-day period in March of 1967. #kswx
