My heart is absolutely broken over the news from Jerusalem today that the Israeli government has denied access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to Cardinal Pizzaballa and 4 other priests to celebrate a private mass on behalf of the faithful denied the right to gather on Palm Sunday, and yours should be too. This is an unprecedented move that has ramifications and impact worldwide, and matters deeply in our continued fight for religious freedom around the world.

Just did a quick search. Within 15 minutes of my house, there are 18 independent donut shops. Average rating is 4.8/5.0 stars. Meanwhile, the chains have a couple outlets scattered around. Average rating about 3.5/5.0 stars. 3/

Apparently, there is a discussion on this channel about Czech pastries, namely kolaches, and their prevalence in Texas. First, what people need to know is that a "kolache" is the fruit pastry. The one filled with a sausage or meat is a "klobasnek." Both are delicious. 1/

That there were 7 opinions and 6 of the 3 agreed with the result means it wasn’t close and you could reach the same conclusion different ways. Especially with how non-sensical Thomas’s was (versus Kav’s, which I disagree with, but was thoughtful).

As a non-lawyer, I read Kavanaugh's opinion and am persuaded. I read Gorsuch and think he's got some good points, too. Then I see there are *seven* opinions and think it must be a really close, not-so-clear call. Given all that, I think: With all that division, maybe they should have deferred to the president's judgment. And I have the sneaking suspicion that Trump might have won, had he been a little less capricious in declaring tariffs, even using the same authority at issue in the SCOTUS case.
