this win is for every single non-RuGirl, every international queen, every performer from a non-english franchise who was brave enough to compete on a season of International All Stars, who endured hardship, language barriers, and Ru’s quirks. this win changes EVERYTHING #DragRaceUK #DragRaceUKvsTheWorld

But that’s exactly what happens. Bathroom ban passes? Women get stalked & harassed in stalls by vigilantes. Sports ban passes? Girls with short hair get harassed & accused of being boys. Because enforcing anti trans policies requires dictating who’s “woman enough” to everyone.
Riley Gaines@Riley_Gaines_

“Threats toward trans people are threats toward all women.” They literally just string words together and hope we're all too stupid to realize what they're saying makes zero sense

NYT: FBI agents equipped with a signed warrant prepared to document blood spatter and bullet holes in Renee Good's SUV received orders to stop, including from Kash Patel. The fear? "a civil rights investigation would contradict Trump’s claim that Good “violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer” who fired at her as she drove her vehicle." nytimes.com/2026/02/07/us/…

It is difficult to describe what kind of morally depraved, malignantly narcissistic mindset you have to have to only ‘feel bad’ for dead people based on whether their parents voted for you. He may be the worst person to ever feature in American public life.
Crooked Media@CrookedMedia

“And I’m not sure about [Alex Pretti’s] parents, but I know [Renee Good’s] parents were big Trump fans. Makes me feel bad anyway, but, I mean, I guess you could say even worse— They were tremendous Trump people, Trump fans.” —Trump

A reminder that we have now totally, totally normalized the president of the United States repeatedly threatening the free press with lawsuits if they just write anything he doesn’t like. The First Amendment is disappearing before our eyes. ABC & CBS’s settlements paved the way.
New York Magazine@NYMag

When Ben Terris arrived at the Oval Office in December to talk to Donald Trump about his health, the president was standing next to a couple of men clutching pieces of paper labeled TALKING POINTS. “These are two doctors,” Trump told Terris. “And by the way, I don’t know them, they’re not my best friends. They’re respected doctors that practice out of Walter Reed. And they happen to be taking care of me for anything — but I don’t need any taking care of because I’m in perfect health. I do purposely every year or less a physical, because I think the American people should know that the president is healthy so you don’t get a guy like the last one, who was the worst thing that ever happened to older people. Because I know people in their 90s that are 100 percent. Gary Player is 90 years old. He shot 70 with me the other day.” Trump gestured at everyone present to follow him into the room. “Let’s sit for a couple of minutes,” he said. “I hate to waste a lot of time on this, but if you’re going to write a bad story about my health, I’m going to sue the ass off of ‘New York’ Magazine. There will be a time when you can write that story, maybe in two years, three years, five years — five years, no one is going to care, I guess. Go ahead and sit down.” Read the president’s exclusive interview with Terris: nymag.visitlink.me/kvYooL

Republicans in 2021: Kyle Rittenhouse is a hero for being armed at a political protest. Republicans in 2026: Alex Pretti is a domestic terrorist who deserved to die for being armed at a political protest.

The scariest thing about this is the blatant lying. No investigation. No genuine desire for truth. Just a shameless coverup while a family is shattered, a funeral is prepared and a country breaks one day at a time.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

Kristi Noem lies shamelessly: "An individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently ... this looks like a situation where an individual arrived at the scene to inflict maximum damage and kill law enforcement."

Bringing back institutions makes sense when you consider they also put suffragettes, unruly wives, queer people, antiwar and civil rights protesters in them too. “Crazy” just means “not normal” and only people in power decides what “normal” is.

JUST IN - President Trump: 'Signed an executive order to bring back mental institutions and insane asylums. We are going to have to bring them back. Hate to build those suckers but you've got to get the people off the streets'

Vance on Jan. 8: "You have a federal law enforcement official engaging in federal law enforcement action. That's a federal issue. That guy's protected by absolute immunity." Vance today: "I didn't say that officers who engaged in wrongdoing would enjoy immunity. That's absurd."
