@Jobby_Yahaya07 @PopBase Ok but this song wasn't in her flop era. It's literally a single from teenage dream album and peaked at number 3
English
@onyiireal1 @PopBase Ok. But this song wasn't in her flop era tho. It's literally a teenage dream song.
English
@notpopbase @bratzdoll1nc @princesslo6300 Poppy what're you doing on Nigeria Twitter? Go back to pop and stan Twitter girl 🤭
English
@bratzdoll1nc @princesslo6300 the only enemy to africans at this point is themselves
English
the fact that this is banned in our villages now colonialism i swear you will crumble

Igbo Uli lines Saw these on Pinterest.

@IzunnaDike I am from abia state i can understand akwa more than owerri but that doesn’t mean I can understand all dialect in anambra. I understand mbano more than akwa
English
They are to us, just not to Anambra people. Igbo language is not monotonic, it can’t exist for only one side’s convenience.
@
But Owerri and Umuahia are not even the easiest to understand
English
Onitsha Igbo is NOT easy for all of us to understand. Igbo doesn’t begin and end within Anambra. It’s like how Lagosians view Nigeria 😭😭😭
Anambra people have this perception that central Igbo was created around their dialects but it’s not. It’s Owerri and Umuahia dialects mostly.
Central Igbo is closer to my dialect (Ndoki) in my opinion (Ndoki) than it is to Nnewi for example.
@
@IzunnaDike @cute_lifestyle2 His dialect is ogbaru, closer to Onitsha dialect so it's very easy to understand. Igbo spoken in Onitsha and its environs are the easiest to understand. Oliver De Coque, Pericoma & Osadebe used lots of proverbs in their songs so dialects ain't the problem.
English
@VitaYoung11 @nzemmili @ossychinakwe Did u notice that most modern Christian Igbo names even answered by imo people are Anambra variants and not imo or izugbe variants like Oluchi, Ifeoma, Obiageli, Ekene, Ifeanyi, Chidera, etc
English
@KellyPerry96 @nzemmili @ossychinakwe The "ghi" feature used to make a verb negative in central Igbo is from Ọhụhụ and Ezinihite. We have a central Igbo for the gospel, and distinct central Igbo for literature/media. The Bible says "Ọlụebube", "Ọlụaka". But the media says "Ụlọ ọrụ" not "Ụlọ ọlụ".
English
@VitaYoung11 @nzemmili @ossychinakwe I think the ika/ukwuani people are more clannish. So in their major cities like agbor and kwale respectively, they just speak their dialect lol. But I noticed that when they speak to other anioma people like the aniocha/oshimili, they rather speak a variant of enuani to them.
English
@KellyPerry96 @nzemmili @ossychinakwe Southern Urban Igbo (Owerri-Orlu axis)= Ọratta + Isu + Ọhụhụ
Northern Urban Igbo (Anambra-Asaba axis) = Idemili + Enuani + Ọmambala + Ọka + Nnewi
Enugu-Abakaliki axis= Ụdị/Agbaja + Nkanụ + Ezeagụ + Awgụ
There's yet to be an Urban Igbo for the Ika + Ukwuani axis
Indonesia
@VitaYoung11 @nzemmili @ossychinakwe Is the general Igbo in abakaliki part of the northern Igbo variant?
English
@SKaizen101 @VitaYoung11 @EhisBukason Actually ikwerre is slightly bigger than ngwa in landmass, cos the local government are larger than ngwa LGAs in Abia. Ikwerre LGA alone is bigger than at least four ngwa local government area in Abia state lol
English
I don't buy tinot what the guy is saying but I think that Ngwa is bigger than Ikwere, Ngwa has 9 LGAs, Ikwerre has 4. I used to think that that Ikwerre has a coastline based on how some Ikwerre people talk, I just realized that they don't have a coastline. I think all this banter and whatnot is not good for anyone at all shaa
English
Ikwerre people don’t have professional elites apart from criminals who are politicians!
Ikwerre as people can never be Igbo’
Their culture is alien yo Igbo cultures!
Those confused people can never be part of Igbo!
They have nothing to offer the rest of Igbo groups!
Only Mbaise alone can swallow Ikwerre!
English
@WakeUpb1ql @Optician_Mercy Keep telling ur self that. Maybe if u keep doing that it'll suddenly become true lol
English
"Every part of igbo land can understand Anambra dialect" the mentality of an average anambra man, i didn't know who lied to you people that you colonized rest of igbo lands or even better than other igbos.
Such a wap mentality.
@
@IzunnaDike It's clear you have never traveled around Igboland... Literally every part of Igboland can understand the Anambra dialect (idemilli, awka, ifite etc) There are places in imo/Abia state, that people from other parts of Igboland will struggle to understand.. Travel and learn
English
@KellyPerry96 @nzemmili @ossychinakwe I can't think of an exclusive Owerri dialect feature that made it to Igbo izugbe. Only the ones shared with Ọhụhụ, Ụbanị and Isu. Ọhụhụ dialect and the Ezinihite dialect in Mbaise featured instead.
English
@WitnessQi We didn’t want this bullshit we wanted her to culturally appropriATE and the bitch delivered
English
@MysticPrin72267 @IzunnaDike But it has been Anambra people imposing their dialect as central Igbo that shd magically be understood by everyone. No other group did that.
English
@IzunnaDike you seem to have a problem with Anambra people, you've been singling them out since yesterday lol. you don't have to hide the hatred bro
English
Anambra people and thinking their Igbo is the only valid form of Igbo 🤝🏾. The way their dialect was hard for you, is the same way your dialect might be hard for them. It’s like going to Australia and having the audacity to be mad at their English when they would struggle to hear your Nigerian English.
