This is Donald Trump joking and laughing about alligators killing people at “Alligator Alcatraz” in Florida. No Christian who takes Jesus seriously can defend this. It is evil. It is sick. It is diabolical. Every human being is made in the image of God.

The situation in Iran and Israel has deteriorated drastically. I renew my appeal to responsibility and reason. The commitment to build a safer world, free from nuclear threats, must be pursued through mutual respect and sincere dialogue, in order to build lasting peace founded on justice, fraternity, and the common good. No one should ever threaten the existence of another. It is the duty of all countries to support the cause of peace, initiating paths of reconciliation and promoting solutions that ensure security and dignity for all!

When you worship power, compassion and mercy will look like sins. When you worship power, the harsher the treatment towards your "enemies," the more righteous it will look. When you worship power, the value and dignity of others is solely measured by their conformity to you.

One of the greatest deceptions of our time is the false narrative that we should be more concerned about a poor person misusing the welfare system or an immigrant being here illegally than we are about cruel people having unprecedented wealth and power over all of us.

Pity the man who is so insecure he must bully others to make himself feel good. Pity the nation that chooses the bully to lead them, and believes the lies he spews. Pity the pastors who defend the bully and desert the bullied ones whom Jesus blessed -the meek, the merciful, the peacemakers, the widows and orphans, and all those Christ called “the least of these.” Lord help us to stand with the bullied rather than the bully, knowing that Christ is always near to the vulnerable. Let us remember your promise, Oh God, that the mighty will be cast down and the lowly will be lifted up. The bullied will be raised up and the bullies will be humbled. The last will be first and the first will be last. Deliver us from this bully, oh Lord.
