I build graphs based on CDC surveys and reports. This one is still a work in progress. Goal is to compare US teen nicotine vaping to teen alcohol use. Obviously, the one on the left is a "crisis" and the one on the right is just, "kids will be kids..." It will look cleaner when I'm done...

💡A new overview of the best available evidence worldwide for #smoking cessation, funded by Cancer Research UK, has found that nicotine‑containing e‑cigarettes (#vapes) are more effective than other interventions such as NRT (patches, gum, lozenges, etc.) vapes with no nicotine and behavioural support.
⏩ The overview drew on numerous systematic reviews and over 100 individual studies conducted across nearly a decade. The findings also show that nicotine vapes achieved 46% higher quit rates when compared with nicotine-free vapes.

I'll never understand why 'a euphoric feeling' gets so many people bent out of shape. If drug or medication makes someone feel better, is that a bad thing? Why do people care if other people feel better? Isn't the point of many drinkers to get some 'euphoria' with alcohol? Weird

While the UK and Sweden lead the charge toward a smoke-free future, the EU is "stepping backwards".
In 2025, UK vaping consumption officially overtook traditional cigarettes. Sweden is already on the brink of becoming smoke-free, boasting Europe's lowest tobacco-related disease rates, after boosting access to safer nicotine products.
Public health expert @DrMtyndall says it’s an ethical imperative to provide smokers with alternatives that are 95% safer than combustible tobacco.
