I'm working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to require federal agencies to develop plans to prevent fraud during an emergency or crisis. It's time to pass the TRUE Accountability Act to ensure the government is ready to protect taxpayer dollars at all times.

After being denied access for weeks, I was finally allowed into Delaney Hall – but what I received was a closely controlled and limited tour of the facility. That is unacceptable. I was not allowed to meet or speak directly with the detainees, which continues to raise serious questions about the real conditions of the facility and the treatment of those held there. I will continue to push to speak with the detainees directly. They deserve to be heard and the public deserves answers.

What's happening in LA is extremely abnormal. How did Spencer Pratt go from a 77% chance of advancing to now a 0.5% chance? California is now blocking the Feds from checking into the election. Prior to the election in May, Governor Newsom signed SB 73. This law, effective immediately before the June 2 primary, prohibits unauthorized access, disruption, modification, or seizure of voter rolls, voter lists, or certified voting technology by law enforcement (including federal agents) without a court order or specific state election law investigation. GIVE THE PEOPLE TRANSPARENCY

Today’s floor votes will demonstrate a clear difference between the parties. Republicans want to fund law enforcement so officers have the tools and resources they need to protect our communities. Democrats want to defund law enforcement to appease their far-left base. I know which side the American people are on.
