Here is what I think about corpo chains: they will drive some adoption, and they won't last. The important element of blockchain is getting rid of a central entity. It comes at a cost: A very complex technology that's hard to build and hard to use. But it's worth it if your goal is decentralized control on the chain. Now, corporates want to have their own blockchain for all sort of reasons. But are they aligned with getting rid of their position as a central entity? Can they really do that? They can't. This happened before and will happen again: Corporate chains will end up with the complex tech but without the added value for users, which is decentralization. Then, these chains will lose the focus from corporates.
