@RiotMMORPG AI is already in League. AI Bots, item recommending system, text analysis for the behaviour reporting system, etc. To think that AI won't be or should not be used in the MMO is ridiculous.

@RiotMMORPG I'm totally excited for it because it's riot, and runetera is so rich of stuff and endless possible content, but I personally got turned off a bit that it's a top down mmo, at first i wished it was like, third person camera kind of pov and not top down, but it is what it is

TLDR: Riot has 10+ years of MOBA combat experience. They acquired a studio that specializes in large-scale MMO server infrastructure. It would be strange if they didn't leverage both.

HIGHEST COST - Soulslike (Elden Ring, Dark Souls) Server validates: -Dodge timing -Invulnerability frames -Stamina states -Precise hit registration Almost zero tolerance for latency. Virtually impossible to scale into high player-count open-world encounters.
