Money that should be going to roads, healthcare, and services for British Columbians now just goes to pay for interest on our debt. A BC researcher spent decades researching addiction and homelessness treatment. When he presented his findings to BC government officials, they asked him to destroy it when it conflicted with their agenda. He testified to this under oath before a federal health committee. He also testified that two senior provincial government officials advocating for safe supply and decriminalization policies went on to start companies that profited from those very policies. The conflict of interest couldn't be more clear. For years we were told that the NDP's policies were evidence-based. But when the evidence doesn't support the ideology, they destroy the evidence. Five British Columbians are dying from drug overdose every single day. British Columbians deserve policies that are grounded in real evidence. Not ideology. It's time to change course

Last Friday, I rode with the VPD through Vancouvers Downtown Eastside. What I saw was the direct result of failed NDP policies. Decriminalization, catch-and-release, and harm reduction programs that have left police without the tools the need and residents without the safety they deserve. Every single day, police officers are doing their jobs with professionalism, competence, and a genuine commitment to public safety. Public safety decisions made in Victoria have real consequences on the ground. You cannot write policy for situations you’ve never witnessed. Too many decisions affecting our police are made by people who have never spent a shift on the street, who have never seen what officers face in real time. First-hand experience isn’t optional. It’s a prerequisite for effective governance. #bcpoli

The target of Eby's fashion police brutality, Gavin Dew, has kindly offered comment on the BC Premier David Eby's point of order criticizing his clothing in the legislature on Thursday. I am posting it here in full as it's pretty epic: "On the record on clothes: I was still wearing yesterday’s travel clothes when I Zoomed into the legislature for a vote. I had just gotten off a flight delayed overnight and headed straight (and late) to a meeting in my riding when the vote was called. I was supposed to arrive in Kelowna late last night, but instead I got stuck in Calgary overnight and my baggage (and clothes) got waylaid. High winds in Victoria, snow in Calgary. This was an unusual hangup for me, but it’s every trip home for many of our more rural MLAs. David Eby may not understand the challenges of travelling to and from ridings outside the Lower Mainland, but this stuff happens all the time. I doubt his outburst had anything to do with me - he’s clearly feeling the pressure as his polling collapses and his cabinet colleagues prepare their leadership campaigns. Like they said in WW2 bombers, if you’re taking fire you’re probably right over the target."

Differential sentencing based on race is unjust, illiberal, and a clear violation of the principle of equality of all before the law. Judges who do this undermine public confidence in their own authority, and more broadly in the criminal justice system.

The backlash to the NDP’s tax-hiking, record deficit budget is hitting hard. New polling shows the budget is the most unpopular since 2011. The worst recorded under any government for over 15 years. British Columbians see it for what it is: higher taxes, deeper debt, and a government that has completely lost the public’s trust. #bcpoli

Big business becomes small business. And small business goes out of business. That’s the NDP formula. Small businesses are already being forced to hire private security out of pocket because this government can’t keep communities safe. That cost exists because of the NDP’s incompetence in dealing with public safety and repeat offenders. And what’s the NDP’s response? Slap PST on the very security services businesses now need just to survive. The NDP isn’t listening to small businesses. They keep punishing the people trying to keep our local economies alive. #bcpoli
