By matchmaking borrowers and underwriters via financial guarantees, Cap is able to unleash the full potential of programmable credit. Our CTO @the_weso explains how each party benefits and how cUSD holders remain protected and productive.

73.8% of Symbiotic TVL has migrated from pre-deposit vaults to v2 production infrastructure with active delegation, curator management, and programmatic enforcement. Each staker withdrew from pre-deposit, evaluated v2 vault configurations and curator strategies, and re-deposited.

ok we seriously have a big problem in defi rn The risk for the yield you get does not fucking make sense. You have the risk of loose everything. And for what? An extra 40 bps or something. Does not make any sense. No circuit breakers, no protections, nothing. Which would be acceptable if you get more yield. But you don't. Why would I put my money in Morpho or Aave when I can just put it into t-bills. Dao drama, north korea and hacks everywhere... We need to grow up or accept that on-chain lending is for people that cannot off-ramp for different reasons. (You know the reason lol) The solution? I don't know tbh. I wish I knew. Circuit breakers on the corpo chains would make a ton of sense imo. But yeah tradfi will eat defi if we don't fix things. Would love to open up a discussion here. Something I don't see? Potential solutions? I love defi. I was building in defi for 4 years. But I'm seriously considering moving everything to my bank account. Which is crazy to think about.

Cap is pioneering a new category of programmable credit, one that connects underwriters and borrowers who together bring uncorrelated yield onchain for cUSD. @czhuling explains the roles of delegators (underwriters) and operators (borrowers) in Cap's innovative system.

Cannes @EthCC was a blast and it was great to see everyone! It's increasingly clear that institutions are coming, real yield and real DeFi builders are necessary, and neofinance will bring the world onchain. (psst: did you get our limited edition merch?)

Ethcc last week didn’t disappoint! •Bear market = Higher quality people make the cut to come to an expensive conference •Tourist era ending •RWAs & Tokenization dominate the scene (and @0xhenrique_d has something in store for builders in that space) •Crypto is moving away from endless incentives and towards real yield •Institutions are here •We had even better weather than last year •Ethereum enters adulthood

DeFi vaults can now be covered natively. @OpenCover and @NexusMutual just launched Covered Vaults, the first primitive built to insure vault positions without prepayment or lock-in periods. The system starts with up to $50M in coverage capacity per vault, backed by Nexus Mutual's underwriting infrastructure that has already processed billions in coverage and millions in payouts. The model is simple. You deposit into a vault like normal (say, a @Morpho vault). Then you stake the vault shares in the Covered Vault to activate protection. Premiums stream from your yield at a fixed yearly rate and then you toggle coverage on or off whenever you want. Built on an extended ERC-7540 standard, the primitive is designed to augment existing infrastructure, not replace it: Fifteen partners are involved in the launch, including Morpho, @Kiln_finance, @symbioticfi, @base, and @Optimism. I see this as a step forward, but the concept feels odd to me. I do not come from traditional finance, so I do not know how risk transfer works there, but transferring risk on something that is already extremely risky. You are just passing the hot potato between participants until someone absorbs it. Risk is not eliminated. It is redistributed.

The ball is in our court, and it's our game to lose. Either we build the tools to make onchain finance better than alternatives, or else we get TradFi friction on blockchains. Neofinance is the future, and it's up to all of us to build it together.
