Crossing a fallen log only a couple minutes before we found the moose.

The kids and I had a hell of an adventure yesterday. We found TWO moose about 100 yds away while exploring off trail. We turned back and were cut off by a THIRD moose. If I were alone, I’d have watched for them hours. Hard to be negative with life experiences like that.

@Ruesavatar The zealotry of the recently converted applies to many beliefs…. I think it’s a compensatory human behavior… to prove to the tribe you are truly one of them.

Ok wait wait wait… an interesting trend is emerging. All the kind, normal, and in possession of a sense of humor Catholics that I have encountered were raised in the church, meanwhile most of the absolute unhinged psychos are recent converts. Concerning.

All day I have felt sad for myriad reasons, mostly to do with homesickness and impending grief. The weather was dreadful all day too, and has now culminated in thunder and lightning, which is so perfectly dismal that it is cheering me up immensely and ruining the melancholic mood
