We’re the most competitive economy in the Eurozone. We’ve one of the lowest average hourly labour costs (wages + employer PRSI) in Western Europe. Before the 4-year roadmap to a living wage commenced in 2023, the minimum wage increased by a miserly €1.95 in the previous 7 yrs.
