Now I understand why Contrapoints doesn’t regularly do debates or podcast interviews- she’s a fucking idiot.

This always puzzles me. The Canada Health Act is law, but the federal Liberals regularly choose to not enforce it for politics Is there no way a citizen can require a province to obey the law?
Don Davies@DonDavies

Legal experts just confirmed Danielle Smith's private healthcare law breaks the Canada Health Act. Wealthy patients pay to skip the line. Everyone else waits longer. Protecting public healthcare is the federal govt's job. So why is PM Carney letting Conservatives dismantle it?

Can’t stop thinking about how Trump promised to cap credit card interest rates at 10% and all we got is his chief economist proclaiming how great it is that Americans are maxing out credit cards with 30% interest rates all while Jamie Dimon made $770 million. JP Morgan first!

gonna play the heck out of GTA 6 simply because of its status as a cultural artefact: the final big game built before LLMs no-one will ever invest this much in a game again, no software will ever encode this quantity of hands-on human labour again. the last of the great pyramids

@ArfinNathaniel Ford froze college tuitions in 2019,just unfroze Feb 2026. 7 years no increase in revenue. Colleges had to bring in more Int’l students to stay afloat.Folks got pissy about so many foreigners taking jobs & housing so now fewer Int’l students means colleges cutting programs…again

@SwannMarcus89 This is a really good point. If Turkey killed 30 million people it would be worse than what Israel is doing. But imagine if Japan killed every Chinese person. Turkey doesn’t look so bad now does it?

The only cybersecurity barrier that Mythos has lowered is the level of cybersecurity knowledge in the people talking about AI and cybersecurity.

Gmail contains the 2FA keys to my entire life and keeps me logged in indefinitely. United rents me a chair in the sky, redeemable only with government ID, and logs me out every 30 seconds like Economy Plus is an NSA server.

Looks like Susan Collins told NYT I’m “cruel.” Senator: if there was a nicer way to get you to comment on a condition you’ve avoided disclosing for the ~30 years you’ve been in office, I would’ve done it. You’re 73 years old. 5 of your colleagues died this term alone. It is the height of entitlement that you can’t see why people would have questions about your health.
