Interview in Wan Interviewer: Would you fight for Turkey? The Kurdish Man: "What has Turkey given me? Since it does not recognize my language, forget about the war." Kurds will not fight for a state that subjects them to killing and imprisonment, suppresses their language, refuses to recognize their existence.

It's Armenian Genocide Remembrance day, and here's a sampling of Turkish media denying the genocide. Imagine if German news outlets published annual pieces on the "so-called Holocaust."

Today, we recognize the #ArmenianGenocide—and are reminded of the Aliyev regime’s recent campaign of ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh. Our fact-finding report offers a comprehensive look into these abuses, and outlines ways to hold Azerbaijan accountable: freedomhouse.org/report/special…

⚡Newspaper "Georgia" About of Armenian Genocide, April 24, 1916 "only 15,000 Greeks remain in Trabzon. According to reliable sources, the Armenians in the Trabzon province have been completely exterminated. Their houses have been destroyed along with the people."

Today, Armenian communities around the world commemorate 111 years since the systematic murder and displacement of 1.5 million Armenian women, men, and children by the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1923. More than a century later, we again affirm that their efforts to annihilate the Armenian people failed and dedicate ourselves to preserving the memory of those who were lost. I will continue to stand with Armenians around the state and world to fight for justice.

If U.S. is looking to suspend Spain from NATO, that means U.S. is choosing not to suspend Turkey from NATO for much worse violations against our national security interests. Why is Turkey allowed to get away with it but we’re picking on Spain over disagreements? I don’t agree with the Spanish government on their positions on U.S., Iran, Israel, self-determination among other things but that’s not enough for me to suspend them from NATO while Turkey literally supports our adversaries. This is disingenuous. If you’re going to go after Spain, you better go after Turkey too otherwise it’ll start raising other questions. ▪️Why is Turkey allowed to support terrorists? ▪️Why is Turkey allowed to threaten our allies and partners? ▪️Why is Turkey allowed to work with Iranian regime? ▪️Why is Turkey allowed to buy weapons from our adversaries? What is the hold Turkey has on the U.S. that we’re willing to ignore everything they do while we’re eager to hold Spain “accountable” all of a sudden? I’m not buying it. Hold Turkey accountable too or this is just about personal feelings rather than sound policy in the interest of the United States.

I spoke respectively with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, and Crown Prince of Jordan Hussein bin Abdullah II, on the sidelines of the informal European Council meeting in Cyprus. As the countries of the Middle East and Europe face the consequences of the regional conflict, it is more necessary than ever to work together on a shared agenda of sovereignty, stability, and prosperity for the entire region. In this context, the Middle East is set to become a central link in the supply routes between our two regions, for the benefit of our peoples and economies. France will play its part. We will also continue to support the Lebanese authorities in their efforts to uphold Lebanon’s sovereignty, the state’s monopoly over weapons, and the country’s territorial integrity. France stands ready to mobilize its partners, when the time comes, by organizing a conference in support of Lebanon’s armed and security forces and of the country’s economic recovery.

Today is Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. Over 3 million Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians, Yazidis, and Maronites were killed by the Ottoman Turks. This is what an actual genocide looks like. Not whatever people are calling a genocide today.

Chaldean
Chaldean@ChaldeansX·
Many Chaldeans have heard about the persecution and discrimination their parents, grandparents, and ancestors have faced. However, few have heard of Sayfo, which means “sword” in Chaldean. Sayfo was a systematic erasure of Chaldeans and other Christian groups from modern-day Turkey, which was once home to hundreds of thousands of Chaldeans. Entire villages were destroyed, ancient manuscripts were burned, religious and holy sites were erased, and the victims were not even given proper burials. Today, many Chaldeans no longer live in their original homeland - some directly because of the events of Sayfo. While time has passed, the wounds remain deep. That is why Chaldeans around the world should remember the sacrifices of the past. #chaldean #chaldeans
