@ashleyrdtx Sorry to hear about the experience so far Ashley. We'd like to take a look at the situation here and get this resolved. Could you reach out to us over DM with some details? twitter.com/messages/compo…

Is the only way to escalate and get someone to call you back at @stripe to post publicly? Three days into trying to get PAD limit increased for our client and still nothing. Your customer service reflects poorly on our business! Please call us back! - @TheFoodCorridor

Most tech podcasts are so fucking boring.
The host is either some person who couldn't hack it in a operating role (VC, engineer, founder, etc.) or some VC who is just doing it to get deal flow.
No one cares what Bill Gurley thinks about AI, they want to hear about why he fucked over TK at Uber.
No one cares what Chamath thinks about politics, they want to hear about what happened at Social Capital and why he closed the fund.
No one cares what Keith Rabois has to say about Miami, they want to hear about what happened at OpenDoor.
No one cares what Sam Altman thinks about AGI, they want to hear about why he was fired from YC and (initially) OpenAI.
But instead we get these boring, sanitized conversations about why SaaS companies are or are not dead.
Topics no one gives us a shit about.

@runningdmc @pathfinder17m That’s good to hear. Shef has been in of the first platform adopters in this space.

@ashleyrdtx @pathfinder17m That's a good article. I've eaten Shef when traveling and really loved it.

@sweetietoken @OpenDugeons_RPG @HustleBitch_ So we probably have more I common than X will expose. I literally just ate the same lunch. Also, I have a degree in nutrition and share your concerns of corporate control of the food system.
English

@ashleyrdtx @OpenDugeons_RPG @HustleBitch_ I’m enjoying wonderful healthy hummus I made this morning with homemade sourdough pita chips with no seed oils or garbage. We’re making a frittata with fresh veggies, eggs and cheese, fresh chopped garlic and avocado, drizzled with olive oil. Any other questions?

🚨 STRANGERS ARE LEGALLY SELLING FOOD OUT OF THEIR HOMES IN GAVIN NEWSOM’S CALIFORNIA
"LA's most talked about coffee shop right now is in someone's home."
This is real.
This is legal.
And it’s already happening in Los Angeles.
Thanks to a new state approved program, residents can now run food and drink businesses straight out of their private homes - kitchens, backyards, residential streets, strangers lining up outside.
No restaurant zoning.
No commercial build-out.
No neighborhood vote.
The same state that:
• Shuts restaurants down over paperwork
• Buries small businesses in fees and permits
• Screams nonstop about “public safety”
Is now saying it’s totally fine for random people to sell you food out of their living room.
They’re calling it “community.”
They’re calling it “connection.”
This is what happens when a state can’t govern anymore - so it lowers the bar and calls it progress.
Only in Gavin Newsom’s California would this be framed as innovation instead of chaos.
Would you eat food cooked in a stranger’s house - or is this another line California never should’ve crossed?
