Dear US Government,
I don’t remember anyone asking a single North Carolina resident if we wanted refugees dropped off in our backyard.
North Carolina is already full. We’re losing thousands of acres of farmland a year. Cities are talking about stealing water from other locations. Traffic is a nightmare. Local culture is hanging on by a thread.
How about y’all stop importing more people and focus on taking care of the ones we’ve got?

In NC we not only pay Property Tax on our homes, but on our CARS.
Food as well, ANYTHING in NC that you purchase you pay tax on. I live in a private community, I have to pay City tax. The only time I see a police car patroling is if there is a fire truck ahead of it.
